Oh the golden poppies of California look so nice against the chocolate brown background of this vintage hankie. I used to live near the California State Poppy Reserves and there is nothing quite as beautiful as fields and hillsides of the wild poppies.Stunning blooming poppies take up the entire center of the hankie, leaving about a 2" border of brown. The vintage hankie has a white hand rolled hem. The main corner has one larger blooming poppy with the words: California Golden Poppy written below. A beautiful addition to any travel or souvenir handkerchief collection. Very nice vintage condition with no damage.

A lovely vintage souvenir handkerchief from the capitol city of California. The center of the hankie features the golden California poppy surrounded by a ribbon with a banner that reads "Around Sacramento", the ribbon that ties the poppies reads State Flower. There is a border of golden poppies around the scalloped edge. There are 6 little vignettes around the hankie featuring The Municipal Auditorium, The Tower Bridge. Sutters Fort Creek 1839, Crocker art Gallery, California Capitol, Sacrament Post Office,and Sacramento College. Vintage hankie measures about 14" across and is in very nice condition with no damage that I can see. Lovely addition to any travel, or souvenir hankie collection

Beautiful mint condition vintage Franshaw Washington State map ladies handkerchief. The hankie has a red scalloped edge and the word WASHINGTON is written in red. The state map is surrounded by the state flower - rhododendrons in red. The map includes many cities and places of interest including: Ellensburg, Yakima Indian reservation, Cascade Mountains, Toppenfish, Colville, Seattle, Olympia, Bellingham, and many more. Hankie measures about 13.5" square, unused condition.

Fabulous bright colors and lots and lots of great graphics on the WASHINGTON / OREGON State map tablecloth. A reproduction of those so popular in the 1940’s and 1950’s. This tablecloth measures about 52" square and is done in shades of blues, yellow, red and green with some of the writing being black. Graphics you will notice are cows, pigs, farmer, Indian, cowboys, hunters, rodeo, skiers, apples, tulips, state seals, and so much more! State map hankies were a popular souvenir in the 1940’s -1950’s. Many collectors today love the state map handkerchiefs. This is a beautiful example of the map of the state of Utah. Lovely yellow border with pink sego lily flowers. These are the state flower for Utah. You will find on the border Brice Canyon, The Mormon Temple in Salt Lake City, Zion national Park and the state capitol building. Landmarks and cities on the map itself include; Richfield, Salina, Panguith, Clarefield. Layton, Farmington, The Great American Desert, Fremont River, Rainbow Bridge Monument and much more.

Elegant black border with white hand rolled hem frame this pretty vintage ladies handkerchief. Souvenir hankies were quite popular in the 194’s and 1950’s. This one features Copley Square showing the Public Library in Boston Mass. The mayflower is the Massachusetts state flower and they are shown farming the center. The center shows the Copley Square in the foreground with the large library in the background. Notice the old fashioned shape of the cars. Excellent vintage condition, appears to be unused

RARE vintage Dallas Texas souvenir handkerchief made by the Hermann Handkerchief Company. I have never seen one of these hankies before, the book Collecting Handkerchiefs shows a similar one also made by Hermann from the city of Chicago. I assume there was a series of some cities. The Chicago one is the only one she shows, and it is the same coloring as this Dallas hankie. Circa 1950 according to the book. The word Dallas is framed by a scroll design. Landmarks shown include The Robert E Lee Statue, The First House in Dallas, The Casino, Love Field, Cotton Bowl, Dallas Hall at Southern Methodist University and the Hall of State Fair Park. The center shows the Chicago skyline.

This is a vintage Franshaw Kansas state map souvenir hankie but it no longer has original label attached. Believe it or not Kansas is one of the harder states to find! The Kansas state flower the pretty yellow sunflower, frames the state map. The hankie also features the state seal and some landmarks. There are the Monument Rocks, the state capitol and the Eisenhower Memorial.

Pretty Nebraska state map souvenir handkerchief. Vintage Franshaw state map souvenir hankie still has original Franshaw label attached. Handkerchief came from a collection that was carefully stored and never used. Nebraska’s goldenrod flowers frame the state map. Many landmarks and cities shown on the map including, Superior, Gothenburg, Atkinson, Dakota City, Burwell, Franklin, Falls City, Crawford, Harrison, Fairbury, and much, much more. Excellent unused condition!
