Chanel's Fall 2009 collection gets a shot of toughness from black winged eyeliner, lace tights, and fingerless gloves. I love the look of a prim boucle suit artfully tousled with a smattering of rock n' roll accessories. Like many collections this season, Chanel played with textures and volume, incorporating sheers, beading, feathers and ruffles into its signature layered, ladies-who-lunch look. I especially love the stark contrast of black and white and punches of glitter from embellished necklines and lapels.

I like the colorblocking and the shredded raw edges.

A nice alternative to the studded and heavy, leather, bracelets seen everywhere.
