Primitive Antique Spanish Desk
Price $24,900 Measurements Height: 93 inches Depth: 21 inches Length: 44 inches Description Handmade primitive Spanish desk with extensive inlay made from fruitwood. Beautiful hand-cut, crude barly twist columns flank the upper doors and seven hidden drawers can be found behind the drop-down front. The top exterior drawer is faux. This structurally sound piece has undergone very minor restoration, the top lock has been changed but the desk lock is original and hand forged, as are the hinges. Spain circa 1600.

The back of the table is decorated with bronze trimmed faux drawers. This desk is in good restored condition: there are repairs to the top, including a crack that has been filled, and in the bronze banding. France circa 1870.

They are decorated with cherubim, scrolls, and boughs making this a unique piece that would mix well with almost any decor from Spanish to modern. This stunning desk is in original unrestored condition and would work equally well as a lady's dressing table. The panels on the back are the same as the side panels so this wonderful piece of furniture could "float" in a room. Italy, 19th century.
