Lately I've been finding more immediately-playable reeds per box of La Voz than of Van Doren, my previous favorite.

Over the past year, I had been increasingly dissatisfied with Vandoren - I'd be lucky if two reeds out of a box of five were playable out of the box. So I switched to La Voz; so far, every box, 5 out of 5 have been immediately playable.

I love this for my tenor - very easy to blow through. Best used with a 2 or 2.5 reed rather than a harder one!

the 6 blends with concert band music and sections as well as with jazz ensembles; the 7 and 8 are definitely for jazz and rock.

I loves me my low A key, and I love playing rock-n-roll bass lines on this thing!
