Beautiful matching pair of vintage ladies handkerchiefs. Crisp batiste cotton hankies each have a scalloped edge trimmed in green and dainty holly leaves embroidered in the corners. One hankie has beautiful lit Christmas candle surrounded by holly berries. This one retains original label which reads Mad in Switzerland 100% cotton. The second has pretty Christmas bells embroidered in blue and gold, with holly as accents. Fun to find a matching pair in unused condition. Hankies measure about 10" square each. Perfect little stocking stuffers!

You will love this pretty vintage ladies handkerchief. Gorgeous sprays of purple violets, and dainty lily of the valley flowers frame the hankie. Each little spray is tied with a lavender / purple bow and flowing ribbons which all tie together. The deep scalloped edge is trimmed with a purple hand rolled hem. In Victorian times violets stood for faithfulness and lily of the valley for purity and return to happiness, making this a perfect wedding day handkerchief. A beauty for any hankies collector. Beautiful vintage handkerchief for MOTHER. Pristine never used with original label attached. This lovely hankie features a replique border with colorful daisies. Each of the four corners are graced with a duo of pretty blue rosesalong with buds. The main corner has MOTHER written in script in blue with blue roses tied together with abright pink ribbon.The center has scattered blue rosebuds along with white daisy flowers, and small pink and blue florals.

Unused vintage hankie still retains original label. Desco handkerchief was made in Madeira Portugal. Madeira hankies are the most sought after by collectors. Fun vintage round Christmas handkerchief! According to the book Collecting Handkerchiefs,"perhaps the most unusual type of handkerchief is the round. Produced briefly in the 1940’s and into the 1950’s, the shape wasn’t very popular at the time. It is however, popular with present-day collectors who love to find these uniquely shaped hankies."
