Offered for sale is this wonderful champagne colored liquid satin evening gown and bolero style jacket by Fred Perlberg, circa 1940's. The fabric is a very dense, heavy satin. The gown is strapless with a sweetheart neckline and ruched bodice. There is a very intricate bustle at the back and it closes on the side with a metal zipper. The bolero style jacket closes up the front with matching fabric covered buttons, round collar, and 3/4 length sleeves. Condition: Freshly professionally dry cleaned and in wonderful condition. In a few areas on the gown there is some rubs in the satin which is very common in this vintage high gloss fabric. They are small and almost invisible. This would make a fabulous vintage wedding ensemble. The set is very small, too small for my regular mannequin so please excuse my pictures of the jacket on my half manni. The inside is labeled Fred Perlberg who designed fabulous evening gowns starting in the 1940's. The bust is 32 inches, waist is 25 inches, waist to hemline is 42 inches,. The bolero style jacket has a bust of 36 inches, waist 26 inches, shoulder span of 16 inches.
