Vintage souvenir California embroidered hankie with original label attached. Label reads: By Klauber Made in Switzerland Cotton Sheer. The Swiss are known for their quality work. This small scalloped handkerchief features colorful embroidery of someone dressed in Mexican clothing taking a siesta under a plam tree. In the background you can see a California Mission. The word California is embroidered in blue. Souvenir hankies were quite popular in the 1930’s-1950’s and are a popular style for today’s hankie collectors. Excellent unused hankie measures about 11" square.
