Vintage 1940’s Little Golden Book child’s handkerchief featuring "This Little Pig Went to Market" from the classic childrens nursery rhyme. Handkerchief has Mr. Piggie riding his bike with basket full of fruits, veggies and bread. There is a house and lampost in the background and a little piggie and chickens at his feet. The nursey rhyme is written in black around the edge. The hankie is bordered with a teal green color. Marked A Golden Book Design by Aurelius Battaglia. Battaglia was an artist for Disney Studios from 1937-1941, working on both the Dumbo & Pinocchio films. He was a prolific illustartor of childrens books.
