Very unique handmade sterling silver pendant inlaid with Australian opal, lapis lazuli and sugilite. Pendant is inlaid with 3 pieces of nice blue-green Australian opal, 4 pieces of lavendar sugilite and 6 pieces of lapis. The inlaid lapis is deep blue with a few specks of gold pyrite in some of the pieces. The recessed areas of the silver have a satin finish and are a nice contrast to the high polish on the rest of the piece. The pendant measures 34mm long and 22mm wide. It is signed "MMH" and stamped sterling silver on the reverse. This pendant can be customized with other stone color choices by special order. The chain in the photos is not included.

Four pieces of black onyx accent the five pieces of red dinosaur bone with black webbing. This Utah dinosaur gem bone came from the Colorado Plateau and was a living animal during the Jurassic Period around 144 to 208 million years ago. The ring measures 9.5mm wide and is a size 10 1/4+. This ring can be special ordered in other sizes and inlay materials. Makes a great alternative wedding ring or just a fun conversation piece.

The top piece of inlaid Australian opal fires blues and greens and the other pieces of opal fire red, green, blue orange and yellow. The sugilite is a deep purple and is very high quality with a good polish. Lower areas of the silver have been oxidized black to accentuate the highly polished details. The pendant measures 34mm wide and is 63mm long including the hinged bale. The bale will accomodate most chains and smaller beads. Pendant is stamped sterling and signed "MMH" on the reverse. Pendant is also available in other inlay colors and without the silver oxidized.

The ring is 9mm wide at the top and is a size 9 3/4+. The ring can be made in any size or with other inlay materials by special order. Lapis Lazuli has been highly valued for many thousands of years. The most famous locality for fine quality lapis lazuli is the same ancient deposit high in the mountains of Afganistan where it was originally mined at least 6000 years ago. The value of lapis is determined almost exclusively by color, with deep, intense, blue with violet tones being at the apex. Fine grained, uniform specimens, such as the ones used in this ring, attain a smooth highly polished surface not seen in lower grades. Calcite inclusions always lower the value, but pyrite inclusions enhance it in the minds of many collectors and jewelry lovers. The quality of polish, and the artistry of fashioning are also factors in value.
