I am so partial to the vintage Valentine’s Day handkerchiefs, I love the red and white designs. This one is beauty with the scalloped edges taking on the shapes of the hearts. There is a three inch wide border of the flowers with rows of single blue pansies in the center. In Victorian times flowers had a language of their own. A FABULOUS vintage ladies Christmas handkerchief. Mint condition with label still attached. You will just love all the wonderful graphics on this great hankie! The scalloped hankie has gold leaves and teeny birds along the border with the words MERRY CHRISTMAS in red. A red stripe frames the hankie’s center followed by a gold pine garland. The center features the unique design with rather folk art looking Santa, angels, candy canes, Christmas bells, holly berries, and snowflakes. The very center has pinecones, mistletoe and holly.
