Great portable doll with a great message My daughter has become so interested in history and the roll that girls like her played in many different American eras. The small American dolls are perfect for her as she loves all things small. She also likes to take them with her in a purse to a friends or to Grama's-perfect! We found a great price but encourage anyone interested in the mini American Girl dolls to not pay over retail price as most are available at retail right on the American Girl website. Great Little Dolls for a Collection I purchased this doll along with Molly for my 4 year old. We have most of the bitty baby collection and she has been asking for the Emily doll. She takes very good care of her bitty babies, and while I'm sure she would do well with Emily, I just felt she was to young for the 18 inch dolls and the care that she would need to take with them. These dolls live up to the American girl quality. She loves playing with them in her doll house (fisher price twin time doll house - they fit perfectly!) The clothes are interchangeable. I'm really glad she has these dolls as an introduction to the real thing. So cute! My little girl loved her and it is such a great price compared to AG direct.
