Recycling Bags - Set of 4 Free Standard Shipping through Sept 16. A softer, more yielding version of traditional recycling containers, our set of four Recycling Bags can function as holdalls for recyclables as well as reusable shopping bags and gardening totes. Made of industrial-strength tarpaulin a heavy double-warp fabric that is plastic-coated the bags are waterproof and can be quickly washed out in the sink or outside with a garden hose. Each bag is color coded to provide easy visual cues when separating cans from bottles from papers. A fourth bag can function as a compost holder. Velcro tabs enable the bags to be ganged together in a row; handles make for easy carrying. Four interchangeable printed labels are included for use in the plastic window on the front of each bag.
Helena Christensen has teamed up with Danish design company VIPP to create custom waste bins to be benefit The Food Bank for New York City and Chernobyl Children's Project International. Those 30 bins she will be creating will be displayed at the Conran Shop from September 4-17, when pre-bidding will begin. Those who wish to continue bidding will be able to do so at The VIPP Auction for Helena Christensen event, held September 18. Want a sneak peek at Michael Bastian's Spring 2009 line? Look no further than his sporty bin. Christensen's graphic style would fit perfectly in a modern home. Temperley's is girly and pink, and Costa's is as chicly minimalist as one would expect. This may be the first and last time you'll ever hear the word "chic" used to describe a trash can, so come September, get to bidding!
