This grass green lace wrap is the perfect garment to wear for a walk in the park -- or in the city -- or to any festive occasion -- or just with jeans for any day. I knitted and crocheted this with a soft and silky pure wool yarn. The knitting is done in a traditional lace wave pattern. I then crocheted ruffles all around to give a very up-to-date look. Ruffles are so hot this season and are lovely all the time. The wrap may be fastened with the beautiful crocheted brooch that is included. I crocheted the brooch in a creamy white wool with green leaves in a darker color than the wrap. The flower is edged with metallic embroidery floss and finished with a vintage 1960s etched gold tone button. The brooch has a security catch pin back sewn on. It's lovely to wear alone on a lapel, a dress, a sweater, a hat, or --- you decide! This is a one-of-a-kind garment that will bring pleasure and compliments to anyone who wears it. A perfect present, it comes beautifully gift wrapped in colorful tissue paper with satin ribbons. © KnittingGuru, 2009. All rights reserved.
This cape looks like it came right out of a Toulouse Lautrec painting. Perfectly decadent, Victorian, sensational! This is undoubtedly the most gorgeous of all the capes I've made this year. It is absolutely soft and also very warm so your shoulders will be happy every time you wear it. Put it over your most glamorous evening dress and go have fun! Be a vamp! Drive everyone who sees you wild with envy! This capelet is hand knitted and crocheted with two luscious yarns -- an alpaca and wool soft handspun in ruby (actually a bit deeper than in the photos) and a 100% soft Merino in black. The body of the capelet is knitted in the alpaca blend. You can see from the stitches that the yarn is a singles (not plied) and results in a variation of the stitch size that's quite appealing. The look is handspun, but refined. The neck ruffle and the lace edging are crocheted with Merino wool to form a very graceful, very Victorian cape. The handmade button closure is vintage 1930s - 1940s and is very rare indeed, as well as being beautiful. This capelet is sized to fit from extra-small to medium. It would make a wonderful present and comes gift wrapped in colorful tissue paper with satin ribbon. © KnittingGuru, 2009. All rights reserved.
These thick and soft fingerless gloves will keep your hands cozy all year round. > Wear them in cold weather by themselves or over other gloves. > Wear them in your cold office while you're using your computer. They're so thick that they even protect your wrists when you lean them on the desk. I designed and crocheted these with a wool blend yarn in two shades of orange. The golden leaves are securely sewn to the tops of the gloves. Go on... Compete with Autumn's brightness! Stun your office mates. Keep your hands warm on Halloween! Awe your friends and family on Thanksgiving! These gloves are very stretchy so One-Size-Fits-All. They make a great present and come beautifully gift wrapped. © KnittingGuru, 2009.
