This is a stunning original 1950's taffeta and velvet cocktail party / prom dress. Made of the swishiest silkiest midnight black taffeta, this beauty features a classic New Look silhouette with a fitted bodice, nipped waist and impressive full skirt. This fabric is the heavy taffeta that has such fabulous body that it nearly doesn't need a crini. The silken black velvet bodice features front ruched petal attachement that enhances a small bust. It is trimmed with a black velvet ribbon bow with streamers. The straps are made of black velvet ribbon also. The nipped waist is accented with a ruched or gathered cumberbund effect and sits over an amazingly full skirt that rustles and swings with movement! The bodice is fully lined and zips up the back with a metal zipper.

Here is a vintage late 30's Jantzen Black Wool & Lastex Bathing Suit Swimsuit. Done in a textured knit, this suit has seaming under the bust, but does not have inside cups or lining. The straps are stationary and there is an attached ajustable string tie in the center back. oval o rings on each strap. A modesty panel at the front and back with boy cut leg openings. The Jantzen Diving Girl patch adorns the hip line. Swimsuit has stretch to the knit. Made of Lastex & Wool.

Glorious 1940s black velvet evening gown rendered in a princess silhouette with sweetheart neckline, short puff sleeves with slight train and side metal zipper enclosure. The dress also sports black tulle detail at shoulders and a dropped square back. This gorgeous dress is in excellent vintage condition.

This a lovely one-handled vintage kelly-style bag, done in a shiny patent (we believe patent leather). Unique silver button clasp, you turn it to slide the top up and it stays in place until you put the top back done, then it snaps shut securely. The bag rests on four silver feet. Interior done in the typical vinyl, and has three compartments, one zippered. Very, very, very nice shape, light normal surface scratches on the metal, nothing major, no holes or anything of that sort. Patent has a nice heavy supple feel. Very classy, timeless bag, and patent is so in this year. Perfect for day into night use. Measures 8" x 9" x 4", 4" handle drop.

Wowza! I absolutely love this black velvet mini dress with plunging back and mini train. Perfect for a Cigarette / Cigar Girl look. Fully lined in black taffeta, back zipper with button panel covering zipper. I think this dress could be worn either way depending on what your preference. For a sexy cleavage bearing neckline wear button side in front. For a sexy back (ink bearing?) wear other way. Either way this sexy mod mini cocktail dress will put all others to shame! The dress is perfect except the buttons are losing their rhinestones (can be worn as is or replaced with new buttons or rhinestones). This is a vintage 70's Jeanne Lanvin dress. It has the coolest op art pattern and 10 square black buttons down the front. It has 23.5" ties that are part of the collar so you can make a nice big bow! The cuffs are 2.5" and have one suqare button each. There are 2 intact belt loops but this is missing its original belt. We added a belt here to show how it would look with one. There are no labels in the dress but "Lanvin" is printed on both collar ties as part of the material. We think the material is polyester but it's very smooth like silk so maybe a poly blend. It has a size 10 tag but please refer to our measurements below for sizing and accuracy of fit. It was made in the U.S.A. and also has an "Amalgamated Union Workers" label. There are 2 tiny pinholes in the dress that are next to impossible to see. One is on the back and one is on the lower left front. Other than that it's in excellent condition and is one INSANELY cool dress!
