Love this gothy summertime stuff. I have a fairly decent black lace high-collared shirt to wear a camisole underneath, but the clean lines afforded by this not-quite-tunic length and the lack of sleeves make me think I need another one.
Although I'm not sure if I'd actually wear these*, I do appreciate the darker color pairing busy-ness and all those buckles and the shorter heel height and the open spaces accommodated in this design. But, uhm, nix that weird buff-pink insole; what were you thinking? *You know, when shopbop somehow puts me on their freebie mailing list--'cause I'm so not about to spend eight hundred bones on some shoes, man.
This is just exactly what I want in a fun-loving gothy professional dress for the summertime. It's cotton, so it'll breathe like an olympic swimmer, and while the short sleeves and collar say "wear me to work!" the knee length ruched panelled skirt says "but I am leaving early for a slightly dramatic affair that will pursue the wee hours of the morning, as if that were any of YOUR business cranky boss type." I mean, perfect, right?
Oooh! More love from RoD! I'm all about the funk-factors here--the shapely vamp, the conical heel, the snub toe, the jagged heel counter--but I also love the black and green combo. Now if only the blasted u.s. dollar would eat its wheaties...
I think a soft viscose velvet like this might jive better in a blouse design, but maybe not so much if it's lined. The high collar and loong sleeves are excellent, and I love the olive-brown with a lighter saddle brown.
I don't know what it is, exactly, but funky gothy summer time shoes are very plainly my kryptonite. Any and every possible swaying argument crumbles like so much feta cheese once past the guards of my mental acuities, and I am left simply to ooh and ahh and say I could afford to spend like four hundred bucks on these glossy chunky monstrosities, right? What the hell! SURE.
Love this pointy, vintage-harking, peek-a-boo, gothy thang. The color's like that of soot-smudged victorian currency, injected into a no-nonsense kind of 21st century classy woman vibe that's as equally influenced by post-WWI and -WWII female, as opposed to protestant, work ethics. Wear these beauts, leave the domicile and go kick some ass.
Wicked in red--I normally shy away from pointy heels, but this is short enough to get my OK. And then that vampy lace-up business, and the pinked spectator styling, and that point on the heel counter?! Holy crap. My shoe-inhibitions are crumbling before my very eyes.
