This early 60s form-fitting dress has an artsy abstracted blue floral and paisley print. Simple and figure-flattering, with subtle details like gusseted arm openings, an on-seam right side pocket, V front and metallic zip back. Tags are not present.

My absolute favorite vintage dress ever!! I’ve never seen a “plain cotton” day dress as nicely made as this, or with such fine design details. Early 60s lightweight woven cotton dress with all-over hand-sewn pintucking. On the skirt portion, the pintucking begins narrow and vertical at the gathered center waist, then as it drops toward the hem it angles outward around the hips to form perfectly matched chevron diagonal tucks at the center back seam. The front bodice of the dress has a raised waistband and even pintucking that rises to a pointed crest at the bust. Gathered bustline fans outward with rows of black lace. The back of the bodice has the pintucking starting narrow at the waist and widening to the shoulders, also alternating with strips of lace. And a stroke of genius – the lace strips in back and in front to the bustline have the black cotton cut away to reveal the skin and allow the cotton to act its own lining! The back is fastened with a center back zipper and hooks, and punctuated with three cotton bows. Also included is a satin snap belt, with the perfect bow to top off those center front pleats. The label reads “Carlye” and whoever she is, we raise our glass to her fantastic design

One of my favorite dresses ever! Confetti-shaped red dots on a white shiny acetate, with applique bows on the chest that are open on top like little pockets. Pleated waist, self-fabric covered belt, metal zipper up the back. The neckline has a slight V in back and is trimmed with piping. No maker’s tags, it’s nicely made and could be home-tailored.

Simply adorable dress in cream canvas-like cotton blend with machine embroidered abstract jacks in neon pink, orange and yellow. Nylon zipper in back. Unsigned, appears nicely hand made. This may be one of a kind!

Bright tangerine orange poly knit jacket with love birds and cage applique. Super pointy butterfly collar, notched front, brass zip front closure. Made in USA by Estivo.

Some vintage purses are too fabulous to pass up! This Space-Age clutch bag is shiny silver vinyl with a diagonal front pocket that’s punch-dotted at the edge. So Mod! Zip top, silver loop handle, lined with black vinyl.

Gilded metal mesh mini purse with an expanding accordion gate lidded top. Chain strap, peach satin lining, it’s just big enough for your dance card, a few coins, and your lipstick. Made in USA by Whiting and Davis.

Groovy, Baby! Cream enamel on gilded metal. The chain is enameled harlequin diamonds, double circle pendant. No clasp, it slips over your head. Unsigned.
