StyleFeeder Management Team
Philip Jacob, Founder & CTO
Creator of StyleFeeder; a software architect, technology consultant and veteran of several Boston-area startups. He has consulted for companies like Digitas, Fidelity, Data General, 3M (and several e-commerce and community sites that never quite became household names). Phil is a big fan of open source software and created a very fast object cache for the Java platform. He also serves on the advisory panel for Linux Journal Magazine and is a longtime advisor to the Public Radio Exchange. Though no one who meets him believes it, he majored in accountancy at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He also blogs, plays guitar, and knows two magic tricks.
Shergul Arshad, VP, Business Development
Business and corporate development executive with experience in ecommerce and traditional advertising. Held senior biz dev and sales roles with eBay (strategic partnerships), Sports Loyalty Systems, and FairMarket (where he led the sale of the company to eBay). Suffice it to say, Shergul likes to make deals happen, especially in Fantasy Football. Shergul has an M.B.A. from Michigan, where he perfected his golf game, and a B.A. from Harvard. Though he’s always on the phone, he’d prefer you didn’t call when the Patriots, Red Sox or Fiorentina are playing.
Dina Pradel, VP, Marketing
Seasoned marketing executive with experience at MTV/Viacom and Y2M: Youth Media and Marketing Networks. Start-up veteran with background launching new magazines and online properties and marketing to the coveted youth demographic. Our resident wordsmith and expert on all things female, Dina has a B.S. and M.S. in journalism from Northwestern and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. Continually redecorating her home, she has yet to find the perfect chandelier.
Eric Savage, VP Technology
Veteran developer focused on consumer applications. Formerly Principal Software Engineer at Digitas serving Fortune 100 clients, including the NBA, Charles Schwab, AT&T, Pontiac and Verisign, with enterprise-level projects. Eric blogs sometimes, and loves his new camera. Eric has so far resisted the urge to write a query that gives a 1-star rating to anything related to the New York Yankees.
Alex Nauda, Director of Recommendations Technology
A data warehousing expert and long-time financial services technology consultant, Alex has developed data-intensive applications in database marketing, data management, and data security, for clients such as Citigroup, Fidelity, Bank of America, and Publisher’s Clearing House. Alex spends his winters skiing with his family and his summers keeping bees.
Eric Kilby, Architect
Long time web applications developer, with a focus on mass market data-driven applications. Harboring a naive belief that there is such a thing as a free lunch, spent most of the 2000s attending meetings, eating catered sandwiches, and building applications for well-known clients such as American Express, AT&T, GM, and eBay. Since then, Eric has learned to make his own lunch in this smoker and has developed an addiction to photography, getting some of his photos published in local books and magazines.
