Originally designed for Ian Schrager's Hudson Hotel in New York City, the exuberant Hudson Collection (2000) combines the contemporary styling of Philippe Starck with Emeco's classic 1944 naval-ready form and construction. Executed entirely of corrosion-resistant aluminum and finished with a highly polished surface that calls attention to the fluidity of the chair's solid backrest, contoured seat and sweeping back legs. The Hudson Chair is included in the design collection at the MoMA and received the 2000 Good Design Award from the Chicago Athenaeum. Tested for strength and intended to last 150 years, the polished Hudson Chair is suitable for contract or residential use. The Hudson Chair is also available in a brushed finish. Made in U.S.A.
