Like other quality Sorel boots, the Conquest has a waterproof and highly durable nubuck leather upper reinforced with a seam-sealed construction, but you'll also find extras like an integrated internal gator to seal out debris and an Achilles adjustment strap to enhance stiffness. Inside the Conquest snow boot is an incredibly plush layer of fast-drying 400-g. Thinsulate Ultra insulation, a proven synthetic design that keeps your feet comfortable all the way down to -40F (-40C). The drawbacks? None if you're outside, but be prepared to clean up after yourself if your mountain chalet mud room has white linoleum or light hardwood floors. The durable rubber black soles will leave marks on some floor surfaces.
