Description

The Double Teak Dining Collection is a combination of straightforward design and exquisite natural wood. Crafted of solid planks of teak, these pieces are left unfinished to allow for an inviting patina that requires very little maintenance, just soap and water. Through polishing which is the only processing done to this wood natural oils are brought to the surface to create an incredible luster. Warm by materials is the design philosophy, which speaks to how the soft, organic appearance complements the otherwise linear lines. The large scale of the Double Teak Table comfortably accommodates up to eight, and the simple design coordinates with everything from the Double Teak Bench to chairs crafted of metal, plastic or other woods. The teak used in this collection comes from plantation grown resources, set up on the Isle of Java by the Dutch over 150 years ago, and today they are strictly managed by the Indonesian government. To the touch, the wood is incredibly smooth. To the eye, the wood is bright and the grain richly textured. Like all unfinished woods, placement in direct sunlight will cause fading and should be avoided. These pieces are for indoor use only. Assembly required.

The memory of those organic sculptures peeking out from her flower beds is etched forever in my mind. Real wood and especially faux bois (that’s French for fake wood) is all the ...
