Pernille Vea is an industrial designer MDD. She graduated from the Danish Design School in 1996 with a specialty in furniture and appliances. Her designs have won countless prizes and prestigious awards all over the world, and her talent for creating innovative designs has made her one of Scandinavia's most successful upcoming designers. According to Vea, her designs spring from the natural world: Â I have moved from very geometric design to more asymmetrical shapes, inspired by nature. Previously, it was largely about designing things from the kitchen and the dining table for taking out into the garden. Now the trend has reversed: importing shapes from the great outdoors into the garden." Here is a cup that combines well-thought-out Danish design with all the advantages of a thermo mug. The beautiful, hand-drawn motif of the Black Contour Medium Thermo Cup emphasizes the symbiosis of form between Japanese minimalism and cool Scandinavian calm. The Thermo Cups keep temperatures steady at both ends of the scale, and are well-suited to all kinds of refreshing ice-cold or invigorating hot drinks, such as coffee, tea, sake, toddies, punch, smoothies or other fruit drinks.
