Ostrich Skin Handbag by Mandelles

This fabulous handbag is vintage circa 1960s. It's fashioned from ostrich skin and is made by "Mandelles". The bag measures 8 3/4 X 6 X 3 inches and is handbag style. The outside is light tan colored ostrich skin and the inside is all taupe leather. The inside of the bag is seperated into two section and there are three small compartments, one of which is zippered. The original comb and tissue wrapped mirror is inside as well. The condition is like new and the bag looks unused. Look at the pictures and you will see some darker edges on the back of the purse and along one side of the front flap. This looks like natural darkening of the skins or perhaps a bleed through from something used when putting the bag together. It's not dirt as the bag is completely clean. The clasp is still bright gold.
