He sought the essential idea and reduced it to the most effective structural solution within an overall unity of design. When he designed his pedestal collection, including these three dining tables, Saarinen realized his ideal of formal unity: "Every significant piece of furniture from the past has a holistic structure." The Knoll logo is stamped into the base of the Saarinen tables and the top features a nameplate with the Saarien's signature. Additionally, tables with laminate finishes are GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certified®. This collection of Saarinen tables is not suitable for outdoor use.
