Mod Mom founder Kiersten Hathcock is a stay-at-home mom turned self-taught furniture designer & builder. After leaving the corporate world in 2003, to spend more time with her kids, Kiersten rekindled a passion for woodworking. Her father, a self-taught carpenter and woodworker, built most of her family's furniture growing up, and she learned from tinkering around in his garage workshop. Thirty-some years later, Kiersten works from her own workshop where she designs and produces her modern/mid-century inspired kids' furniture.The Gracie Toy Box is a mid-century inspired design made of 1/2 inch eco-friendly birch plywood with slow-closing lid supports to insure little fingers do not get smashed! Lift the dual-opening lids to reveal a mod toy box with two convenient compartments. A Miller doweling technique is used to ensure solid joints.
