From Catseye Vintage is this AMAZING Tropical Floral lined silk full skirted dress, circa 1950's, from designer Madeleine of New York. The bodice features a beautiful tropical floral print in shades of red, pink and green on a white background. The skirt features the same tropical floral print on a black background! Very unusual and unique! Fitted and darted bodice with round "jewel" neckline ~ pleated skirt with 64" bottom sweep. Very flattering! Well working 22" center back metal zipper. The bodice is completely lined with white silk, with the skirt being lined with black organdy. Attached black net crinoline for fullness. Complete with original belt with cute center front bow. Please take a look at the supersized pictures to get an idea of the beauty of the design and fabric. Designer label says "Madeleine New York". Blue and white Union label inside skirt seam. I'd say this gorgeous dress could be worn by a U.S. size large to extra large depending on how you like your fit, but please go by the measurements below. Please remember the measurements are of the dress, not your figure, and leave room for fit and comfort.
