This cutting board system is designed with hygiene and convenience as its primary objective. The flexible polyethylene cutting mats are colour-coded and labeled for different food types: beef, seafood, and poultry. The sturdy cutting base -- in hygienic, durable, and washable polypropylene -- prevents the mats from slipping and provides a firm, resilient base for comfortable cutting; the flip side of the base cutting board contains a juice groove for use when slicing cooked meats. Cut one type of food on the matching mat, then peel off and funnel the food into a pot, wok, or plate. Place the mat in the sink for rinsing and washing and replace with the appropriate coloured mat on the base. The soft textured grip holds the mats in place for storage.
