This grass green lace wrap is the perfect garment to wear for a walk in the park -- or in the city -- or to any festive occasion -- or just with jeans for any day. I knitted and crocheted this with a soft and silky pure wool yarn. The knitting is done in a traditional lace wave pattern. I then crocheted ruffles all around to give a very up-to-date look. Ruffles are so hot this season and are lovely all the time. The wrap may be fastened with the beautiful crocheted brooch that is included. I crocheted the brooch in a creamy white wool with green leaves in a darker color than the wrap. The flower is edged with metallic embroidery floss and finished with a vintage 1960s etched gold tone button. The brooch has a security catch pin back sewn on. It's lovely to wear alone on a lapel, a dress, a sweater, a hat, or --- you decide! This is a one-of-a-kind garment that will bring pleasure and compliments to anyone who wears it. A perfect present, it comes beautifully gift wrapped in colorful tissue paper with satin ribbons. © KnittingGuru, 2009. All rights reserved.
