Large Tropical black bamboo from the tropical island of Java, can grow up to 50' tall in arching V pattern. Black culms with white nodal bands and its large green leaves give tropical black a different look than its 'Timor Black' cousin. An exquisite landscape specimen, suitable for large pot or directly in the landscape. The wood is highly prized for its strength and will mantain its color after harvest. Highly sought after timber for furniture making among other crafts. When mature Tropical Black bamboo has a weeping arch at the top. A very rare tropical bamboo and a must have for any collector.
